With a network of Dock Club coworking lounges already in London – in Soho, Marylebone & Bloomsbury – a Dock Club in the City was high up on our wishlist and the brand new lounge we’ve created at Longcroft House is the largest Dock Club to date. Formerly a wing of ground floor offices, the area has been opened up to create a spacious area with hot desks, co working booths, informal meeting areas, comfy seating, 2 private meeting rooms and a members only kitchen. Members can indulge in freshly ground coffee, daily continental breakfast, lunch on Tuesdays & Wednesdays and beer and wine on Thursdays & Fridays, all offered on a complimentary basis for members.
Located in a quiet courtyard opposite Liverpool Street station, our new Dock Club is ideally located for coworking in the City – whether catching up with emails, collaborating with clients or colleagues, or holding meetings. Longcroft House’s office clients are enjoying this boutique style area for taking a few moments away from their desk or taking conversations or informal meetings out of their office.
Interior designer Keeley Fox from Keeley Fox Interior Design used clever zoning to be really creative with the space:
“As you enter the Dock Club the intention was for the client to feel they’ve stepped in to a different environment, away from their desk and to immediately relax and switch off. We felt that we could create this feeling by opting for a slight nod towards an oriental theme with Feng Shui energy, which would start with an Instagram wall featuring a bespoke Koi fish mural with 3D bronzes effect fish within it. Around other parts of this space we added touches of luxury through the wallpapers which would show the subtlety of moving water in each on, as well as additional luxurious elements through gold wall decor.
Moving into the collaborative/coworking area, meeting room and boardroom we used a mix of colour psychology within the spaces to promote open communication, successful plans and stress relief accompanied by grounded natural and rustic furniture to really feel a sense of escapism from the hustle and bustle of city life.”
This area has been a fantastic enhancement to Longcroft House and the feedback from resident office clients has been extremely positive, with many commenting that having an area away from their desk – whether for focused work, collaborating with colleagues or simply taking a break – has transformed their working day.
Podium Dock Clubs are open to non-resident clients on a membership basis, costing just £89 per month. This gives access to our growing network of coworking lounges in 4 locations in central London, Ealing, Chiswick, Bath and 2 locations in Oxford. Read more about the services available here.
